Our Purpose
QBN is an invite-only queer business network created to support LGBTQIA+ professionals as they grow through connection, collaboration, and shared opportunities.
Our intention is to foster a community where members can participate fully and authentically, without needing to explain, defend, or justify who they are professionally or personally. QBN is designed to be affirming, respectful, and grounded in trust. Here, your identity is acknowledged and respected as a given.

QBN is high-value, low-touch. Every interaction has purpose.
Curated 1:1 Introductions
We personally match members based on goals, industry, and interests. These are warm introductions to people who can genuinely help — not random networking.
Small Group Dinners & Coffees
Intimate gatherings of 6-10 people, organized by topic, industry, or shared interest. Real conversations that lead to real relationships.
Private Community
A trusted space to ask questions, share opportunities and ideas, and connect with members across cities and industries — without the noise of public feeds.
Global Reach, Local Focus
Make warm referrals across cities and countries while building trusted local relationships through city-based cohorts.
Connections
Connections are the engine of QBN, but they work best when approached with care, clarity, and mutual respect.
Offering introductions is always encouraged, but not required. Remember our Core Principle that Trust Compounds – QBN works because members protect the integrity of the network. It is always okay to say no, and asking for a referral does not guarantee one. Boundaries should be respected without pressure, persistence, or explanation.
When asking for or receiving a referral, lead with clarity and professionalism. Be specific about what you’re seeking, make it easy for others to help if they choose to, and accept the outcome gracefully. If a referral is made on your behalf, treat it as an extension of the trust placed in you—follow through thoughtfully, communicate promptly, and protect the integrity of the network.
Growing the Network
QBN is built on trust. Membership is by invitation.
We will have frequent opportunities for members to invite people they trust and believe would engage thoughtfully in the community. Every invitation is a signal of trust, and every member shapes the culture of the network.
Code of Conduct
We’re building a safe, respectful, and affirming professional space together. The Code of Conduct helps us protect the trust, dignity, and wellbeing of the community and ensures all members can bring their authentic selves.
This Code applies across all QBN spaces, including public and private channels, cohorts, threads, direct messages, voice rooms, and any QBN-hosted virtual or in-person events.
Creating a Welcoming Community
We encourage:
- Using inclusive, affirming, and respectful language
- Honoring lived experience, boundaries, and self-identification
- Listening with curiosity, especially across difference
- Taking responsibility when harm occurs, even unintentionally
- Prioritizing community wellbeing over winning arguments
QBN is a space for support and collaboration — not for debate around queer identities, rights, or existence.
Clear Boundaries
To maintain trust, the following are not welcome here:
- Harassment, hate speech, or demeaning conduct
- Political posts, campaigning, or argumentative advocacy
- Content that questions or undermines LGBTQIA+ identities or lived experiences
Harassment Policy
QBN does not tolerate harassment, including:
- Harmful comments related to gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, mental health, neurodivergence, body size, age, or relationship structure
- Deliberate misgendering or use of dead names
- Humor that reinforces discrimination
- Unwanted sexual attention or imagery
- Continued contact after being asked to stop
- Threats, intimidation, or sharing someone’s identity without consent
Impact matters. Good intentions do not negate harm.
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behavior that feels unsafe, reach out to any admin or moderator. Reports involving an admin will be handled by others. We respond promptly and treat all reports with care and confidentiality.
Accountability
QBN takes community care seriously. Behavior that undermines safety, trust, or dignity may result in removal from the network. Actions are evaluated based on impact, not intent, and decisions are made to protect the collective wellbeing of members.
